Ararat Region
Today we offer an interesting and unique tour.
The tour will start from the Arch of Charents located on the road to Garni and Geghard. The Arch of Charents is one of the favorite places of tourists as it offers a bizarre view of the biblical Mount Ararat. The Charents Arch was built in 1957 by architect Rafael Israyelyan and is dedicated to the famous Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents, who liked walking here. The words from the popular poem of Charents "I Love the Sun-Baked Taste of Armenian Words" are engraved on the arch.
We will continue our path to the Azat reservoir. The picturesque area where it is located attracts tourists at any season of the year. The reservoir is surrounded by the Yeranos mountains. Those who like to take pictures will enjoy the area most of all.
Having examined the Azat reservoir, we will go to Dzoraghbyur village for horse riding. A professional instructor will accompany us during horse riding (lasting from 40 minutes to 1 hour), which can take place either in the mountains of Dzoraghbyur village or in the territory of the hippodrome (optional). Horse riding is suitable for riders of all the levels: both for beginners and experienced riders.
